STAR BASE Consulting Sponsors Cincinnati Christian University "Salute to Leaders" Fundraising Dinner and Annual Golf Outing
On September 24, STAR BASE was honored to participate in and sponsor "Salute to Leaders," the first annual fundraising event for Cincinnati Christian University (CCU) at the Manor House in Mason, Ohio. This event was created to honor an outstanding individual who exemplifies leadership and giving to the Cincinnati Region. The recipient of CCU's first distinguished award was Anthony Munoz, the only Cincinnati Bengals Hall of Famer and a man who has given so much to the youth of the Cincinnati region. He and his wife, Dede, have spent a lifetime helping individuals achieve their goals and dreams. The turnout at the event was phenomenal. CCU was hoping to have 200 attendees and the final headcount was well over 600! In addition, they raised approximately $100,000, which will be used to minimize the costs of tuition for CCU students. Highlights of the event included a lively auction where a 1984 red convertible Mercedes was successfully auctioned off, as well as not one, but two dinners for eight people graciously hosted by Anthony and Dede Munoz in their home. Congratulations to Anthony!

Following the success of the first annual CCU "Salute to Leaders" fundraiser, CCU held their annual golf outing at the beautiful AJ Jolly Golf Course in Alexandria, Kentucky, which STAR BASE proudly supported by sponsoring a hole. Despite dreary weather conditions, CCU was still blessed with a tremendous turnout for this event. STAR BASE President Jeff Welsh completed a soggy 18 holes, while Senior Account Executive Christy Rollyson cheered all the players on with an umbrella and treats at Hole 1 on the course. The weather did not dampen the spirits of those who participated. As said best by one of the golfers, "Any day on the golf course beats a day in the office!"
